Things I have discovered I enjoy:
Unpasteurized orange juice. I am never going back to pasteurized crap again. My coworker was telling me Whole Foods also has unpasteurized coconut water I should try, so that’s my next goal.
Tempeh bacon. It of course doesn’t have the crispy crunch of real bacon and the flavor isn’t quite right but OMG it’s still delicious! And for 130cal/10fatcal per 7 slices? Winner winner chicken dinner. And holy crap I can only eat like 4 slices at a time, that’s all you’d really need for a “side of bacon” or a bacon sandwich/wrap.
Still, “meat replacement” items are something I need to eat less of. Of course, right now I am transitioning to vegan for real ((home and outside of home, whereas before I was mostly vegan at home and just vegetarian outside of home)) so no eggs/real cheese/mayo has been HARD on me. I love that delicious fatty horrible for you stuff. So right now my main goal is to transition to full vegan successfully, without having binges or non-vegan relapses, and then after that worry about refining my diet.
Anyway, how are you cats doing today?

2birds1scone:
3 Ingredient Sweet Potato Burger
I’m not kidding. And they taste phenomenaul at about 160kcal a patty.
- Cut up 3 large sweet potatoes, then boil them until soft.
- While that’s cooking, mash up 4 cans of white beans with a fork, potato masher, or food processor.
- Once the potatoes are cooked, add them together with 2Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes and mash it all together.
- Form into patties, throw in the oven at 425* F until the edges start to crisp.
So fucking easy. Thank me later.
Definitely going to give this a try!
I made these before. They are AMAZING!

Today’s smoothie is
The edible parts of 1 whole organic pineapple
5 medium organic bananas
and 8 oz organic frozen strawberries, no sugar added
I am going to cut up oranges and blood oranges and apples for a fruit salad to take with me to work, and I have homemade spicy vegan soup I’m going to take with me too.
Trying to eat as healthily as I can. All I want to do is eat pizza, though. o___o;

Smoothie-ing.
Kiwi, strawberry, mango, blood orange, and half of a 16oz bottle of Naked juice Blue Machine that was left over from a work snack the other day.
Super yummy. I like kiwi seeds because they’re like pop rocks.

In aerial silks the other day I was saying potassium and hydration are the best ways to stave off muscle cramps, and that I ate somewhere between 3 and 10 bananas a day. No lie, here is a picture of what is going into my breakfast/lunch smoothie. ~1000 calories, 35g fiber, 13g protein, 0 fat and 0 sodium. Noms.

I am getting better with these fruit smoothies.
Today is 6 large organic bananas, 1/2 of a halved maradol papaya I bought, and a cup of organic frozen strawberries, blended with a couple cups of water.
I bought a 64oz wide mouth stainless steel water bottle so that it will be easier for me to make big fruit smoothies in the morning and take them with me to work and drink all day, and also the wide mouth will make it easy to clean the container out at the end of the day.
I might get some sort of bento box set up to bring myself spinach salads to work also, for dinner time when I am craving salty/rich foods and not sweet food like fruit. I got myself some no-fat sundried tomato dressing at Whole Foods to try out that I am really excited about. It looks amazing. I also got a non-fat pineapple/mango/red pepper dressing from the same company that I will try to like on greens, though I don’t know if I’ll like it as much as the tomato.
So all in all I am doing my damnedest to eat healthier every day, and slowly adopt a high-raw, high-fruit, low-fat vegan lifestyle, though I can tell you now that I will never be perfect.
In other news, I am going to hit the gym today, wish me luck with that. I am probably going to be a wheezing pile of moosh after I run, I haven’t run in ages. Bleh.
