I am pretty stoked about how well this laser hair removal is working.
My hair is growing in very patchy now, I mean it looks ridiculous but at the same time it means it’s working. I’m done with 4 sessions so far and I have 2-4 more to do. After I’m done with my bikini and underarms I’m going to do my legs, so excited about that. I probably won’t start my legs til the fall though, can’t have a tan and get laser hair removal and my legs tend to get a little tan in the summer. Even though by most people’s standards I’m still probably pale as hell.
Anyway if any of you ladies ((or gents I guess)) are interested in seeing a picture of what the regrowth looks like ((it’s JUST a picture of the patchy hair, no lady bits or anything)) for the sake of science because you wanna get laser hair removal, send me a message non-anon and I’ll give you a link. I’m only offering because I know a few people wanted to see what it was like before and I decided to not post a picture. Yeahhhhh.
Anyway laser hair removal is great you guys that are considering it should totally give it a go!

In other equally boring news
I shaved my legs while in the shower and now they’re so itchy and irritated I can’t get comfortable.
They’re definitely my next laser hair removal project. I will be so happy to never have to shave my legs again.

insectdecay said: where are you getting your hair removed? i have my first session for underarms on tuesday….what can you tell me about your experience?
I’ve answered a few questions about this already HERE.
I’m doing underarms and Brazilian minus the landing strip in the front. I’ve done 3 sessions so far. My hair, when it grows back in after 2 sessions, is patchy in spots and not patchy in others. I just had my third session so we’ll see how it grows back in after this one.
It feels a bit like a bug zapper might feel or something, just a little zap for a second and then nothing, but be prepared for the fact that they take a little gun and go across the areas like “zap zap zap zap zap zap” in a grid pattern, for example the last time I went for my bikini area was 341 zaps ((including the back side)). Last time, since I haven’t been having any adverse reactions or skin irritation after the sessions, she turned up the laser to a higher strength and oooh boy let me tell you the zaps were a lot stronger than the first two sessions. Just try to think of it like a tattoo and turn yourself to jello. For my underarms and ladybits the entire session takes less than 20 minutes so it’s really fast, you’re in and out. Make sure you put on aloe the first day after you get it done and if your skin is seeming like it’s sunburned keep putting it on, don’t wear deodorant to your laser hair removal session and make sure you’re shaved clean and close, it makes it hurt less.
Let me know how it goes for you!

Anonymous asked: Please update us on the laser results. I always wanted to do laser hair removal but Ive always gotten mixed feed back. I suppose it does vary between people.
Oh I definitely will. I still have 5 more sessions to go, maybe even a couple more after that. I bought 6 sessions and it takes 6-9 sessions for total hair removal, but I figured I’d start small and go from there.
My understanding is that it works best with pale skin and dark, coarse hair. I have both!
Either way, my mums had it done a few years ago and it took 8 sessions for her, but her hair isn’t as dark or coarse as mine. She said it took til after the 3rd or 4th session to really notice results. I’ve only had one session so far so there’s nothing really to report yet, but believe I will keep updating on the progress as it occurs! :)

who-i-want-to-be asked: Hi there, I know its been a while since you asked us for questiones about your laser shaving, but i had terrible internet before lol. I wanted to ask if tatttoos affected the laser treatment? like if you rgonna laser you legs do they have to go around the tattoos or can they just blast them too?
It absolutely CAN NOT be done over tattoos. The laser will burn DEEP HOLES in your tattooed skin and completely ruin your tattoos, as well as the burns will be deep and get your skin infected. When the burns heal, your skin will be scarred and the tattoos won’t even be able to be fixed with tattoo touch ups.
Thus, you have to go around tattoos. The lady was very careful about going around mine as closely as possible without going over them. If you get it done, MAKE SURE you’re adamant about your laser technician being careful going around your tattoos.

Anonymous asked: so, since no one else is going to ask it i will: do they laser your lips and your butt crack too?
Yep, they laser EVERYTHING. I mean, if you want them to.
The place I went, there’s two different price tiers. The cheaper price tier is just for “bikini area” lasering, basically they just go outside of and just under your pantyline and get ride of anything that would show if you were wearing a bikini.
The more expensive price tier is for “Brazilian bikini” lasering, and they remove as much hair as you want them to, so up to COMPLETELY bare from front to back. That means pulling your ladybits around to get alongside the lips, and laying on your side with one of your knees pulled to your chest to get your back side too. Like I said, I had them leave a “French” style thin triangle in the front but besides that I had them laser everything.
Now, one session won’t have that much effect, it takes til about the third or fourth session to start being like “Wow, most of my hair isn’t growing back any more!”
This all seems to be very appropriate conversation for TMI Tuesday lol.

Anonymous asked: Do they laser your entire bikini area? Like to be completely bare?
They sure do if you want them to. A Brazilian is just that, as much hair totally gone as you want, from your belly button to the small of your back.
I personally left a little thin “triangle” or “landing strip” in the “French” style in the front, because that’s how I wear my pubic hair, but got EVERYTHING ELSE gone all the way to the small of my back.

sommerwithanoh asked: Hey there! I'm very interesting in getting laser hair removal as well. Was the place you got it a big chain business like Ideal Image? I have found lots of things on groupons but mostly for places i have never heard of. Just curious! thanks =)
Mine was for a small laser skin and esthetics place in St. Paul, which as far as I can tell isn’t a big chain.
I’m still really quite pleased with the entire procedure so far, I mean I can’t tell the results yet but it was a very nice clean place and everyone was very professional and friendly. My technician was a laughriot too, nothing was weird or awkward the whole time, even when she was zapping my ladybits with a laser haha.
I guess my thoughts would be, if you find a good groupon deal and have the money to afford it, just google the place to see if there are any reviews you can read!
And be aware that it takes 6-9 sessions to achieve total hair removal via lasers, so be prepared to buy that many sessions. And also be aware that it can’t be done on skin that’s been tattooed, tanned skin ((sun tan, tanning bed, or even spray/self tanner)), and it works best on caucasian skin and dark body hair. Light body hair doesn’t respond as well and takes more sessions, and dark skin requires a less strong laser and also requires more sessions.

andhowdoesthatmakeyoufeel said: 500 each time, or for all six sessions?
$500 for all 6 sessions.
I got a sweet groupon deal for 6 sessions of Brazilian and 6 sessions of underarms, normally a $1860 value, for $500 total. Too good of a deal to pass up!
